The Chennai Super Kings recorded a five-wicket win over the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League this evening.
The Royals opened the batting and their total of 185 runs from their 20 overs was thanks largely to Australia's Shane Watson.
Just days after he stepped down as the vice-captain of his nation, the 31-year-old produced a knock of 101 runs from 61 deliveries before he was caught by his fellow countryman Mike Hussey off the bowling of Dwayne Bravo.
The only other Royals batsman to make an impact on the scoring was Stuart Binny, who finished unbeaten on 36.
In reply, Hussey (88) and Suresh Raina (51) brought the Super Kings into contention before they were run out and trapped lbw respectively.
Even the dismissal of MS Dhoni in the penultimate over when he was caught in the deep by Binny for 21 runs didn't prevent the Super Kings from winning, although it took them until the second-last ball to confirm the victory with five wickets to spare.
