Ryan ten Doeschate hit the winning runs in the final over as the Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in this evening's IPL match.
Home side Hyderabad, who won the toss and chose to bat first, struggled to build decent partnerships as wickets fell regularly throughout their 20 overs.
David Warner top-scored with 34 off 18 balls as the Sunrisers reached 142 for 8 off their 20 overs, with Umesh Yadav the pick of the bowlers with three wickets for 26 runs.
Dale Steyn took the wicket of Gautam Gambhir early in the Knight Riders' innings, but the Sunrisers couldn't build on that as Robin Uthappa (40), Manish Pandey (35), Yusuf Pathan (39 not out) and Ten Doeschate (25 not out) saw the visitors home with two balls to spare.
Both sides remain where they started the game in the standings, with Kolkata fourth and Hyderabad sixth.
