Former England bowler Graeme Swann has praised Ireland after they pulled off a shock to beat West Indies in their opening World Cup match.
West Indies scored 304 off their 50 overs, but Ireland managed to chase it down through half-centuries from Paul Stirling, Ed Joyce and Niall O'Brien.
Swann told BBC Sport: "Before the game I'm happy to admit I thought Ireland would come up short. I thought West Indies couldn't possibly play as badly as they had in the warm-up games and they'd just be too strong, but from ball one Ireland were the better team.
"Ireland thoroughly deserved the victory."
Ireland next face UAE in Brisbane.
