BCCI repeat claims West Indies tour of India is over

The BCCI reiterates that the West Indies have called off their tour of India, despite the nation's cricket board stating otherwise.

The Indian Cricket Board has reiterated that the West Indies have cancelled the tour of India due to a dispute between the players and their cricket board.

The BCCI announced that their opponents had withdrawn from the tour while the fourth one-day international, which was won by India, was in progress today.

The West Indies Cricket Board later denied that they had ripped up their schedule, but following the conclusion of the fourth ODI, the Indian body has claimed that the tour is over.

A statement read: "The BCCI would like to clarify that despite all its efforts, the Micromax Cup India vs. West Indies ODI series has been curtailed because of the ongoing issue between WICB and its players, and the withdrawal of the WI team from the ongoing tour of India."

In place of the West Indies, India have reportedly lined up a five-match one-day series against Sri Lanka next month.
