Chris Gayle asks the West Indies Cricket Board to specify what he needs to apologise for.

Chris Gayle has asked the West Indies Cricket Board to specify exactly what he needs to apologise for.

The WICB recently stated that Gayle would be considered for international selection again if he retracts and apologises for comments from he made earlier this year.

Gayle was critical of the WICB and West Indies coach Ottis Gibson during a radio interview in April and has not played for his country since the World Cup.

"They need to come clear and say what Chris Gayle should apologise for, and what should Chris Gayle retract, what are the terms, really and truly," Gayle told the Caribbean Media Corporation.

"So they need to make it clear, rather than stating just one particular thing and leaving the public to speculate again, and just make this one big issue which I'm tired of, so they need to just cut it out now."

The 32-year-old has played 91 Test matches for the West Indies, scoring 6373 runs at an average of 41.65.

West Indies are currently touring Bangladesh.
