Darren Sammy happy with West Indies display

Darren Sammy says that he is pleased with the West Indies' performance during their victory over England in the first Twenty20 international.

West Indies captain Darren Sammy has said that he is pleased with his side's performance against England in the first Twenty20 international on Sunday.

The hosts made 170-3 in their innings in Barbados, to which the tourists replied with 143-9.

"That's what we asked for," BBC Sport quotes the 30-year-old as saying.

"We played a good game in front of a full house, the start Chris [Gayle] and [Dwayne] Smith gave allowed Marlon to play a big innings as we know how destructive Chris can be."

The second T20 will be played in Barbados on Tuesday.
