The West Indies have ended the third day of their second Test against New Zealand in Trinidad with a 239-run lead over their opponents.
Jermaine Blackwood scored an impressive 63 on his Test debut, with six fours and two sixes, off 110 balls until he was caught by Ross Taylor.
The Windies middle order took advantage of some lacklustre bowling from New Zealand, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Denesh Ramdin providing support for Blackwood as he batted at number eight.
Ish Sodhi was the only real threat for the visitors, notching up four wickets in the match at a cost of 96 runs from 19 overs, but New Zealand ended the day on 73 for one in their second innings.
Tom Latham (30 not out) and Kane Williamson (38 not out) helped the visitors recover from a troubled start, but with the Windies all out for 460 in response to their first-innings score of 221, they face an uphill struggle from here.
