Team Sky's Geraint Thomas has won Stage 2 of the Tour Down Under.
The 26-year-old Welshman won the challenging climb up Corkscrew Hill and then launched an impressive sprint into Rostrevor.
Thomas came from the fourth position in the sprint finish to win the leader's ochre jersey.
"It was a good day really - I felt good from the start," he said. "I've worked hard in the winter. I'm stoked to win it.
"At one point I thought 'what am I doing? Have I gone too early?'. But I just bit the bullet, as they say, and dug in."
Javier Moreno of Movistar and RadioShack-Leopard's Ben Hermans finished the second stage of the event in second and third place respectively.
