Victoria Pendleton has continued Team GB's excellent night in the velodrome by winning gold in the women's Keirin event.
The home favourite, who is competing in her last Olympic Games, beat off competition from the best riders in the world, including her great rival Anna Meares.
The Australian finished out of the medals after getting herself trapped on the inside with two laps remaining.
Pendleton made her move at the same time, and was able to sustain her sprint to cross the line ahead of Shuang Guo of China and Sze Wai Lee of Hong Kong, who picked up silver and bronze respectively.
The victory, which was in the inaugural women's Olympic Keirin event, was Pendleton's second Olympic gold after her success in Beijing.
