Great Britain began their UCI Track Nations Cup 2022 campaign in strong fashion with a pair of silver medals in the women's and men's team pursuit events in Glasgow.
After finishing as runners-up to Germany at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, the team of Katie Archibald, Neah Evans, Laura Kenny and Josie Knight once again placed second on the podium behind their German counterparts.
The GB women finished on the 4:18.908 mark but bowed tom Germany's superiority, with the gold medallists posting a time of 4:13.421 as Italy beat France to the bronze medal.
Congratulations to the women's pursuit team! 🙌

Meanwhile, the men's team of Ethan Vernon, Ollie Wood, Rhys Britton and Charlie Tanfield pushed France all the way and were less than half a second worse off than their rivals at the 2000m mark.
However, GB were ultimately forced to settle for silver after crossing the line with a time of 3:51.638, as France (3:50.267) finished atop the podium on the opening day.
Italy's men could not join their women on the bronze medal list, though, with Denmark recovering from a slow start and storming back in the final 1000m to finish third.
