Andy Hamilton: "I'm the best fighter in the world"

Andy Hamilton has described himself as "the best fighter in the world" following his victory over Terry Jenkins in the last 16 of the PDC World Championship.

The Hammer, who has now reached the quarter-finals of every major televised event in 2012, won 4-1, despite Jenkins averaging 100.39 and hitting 13 180s.

"I walked out here and it felt like I was in an oven, so it took me some time to settle down," Hamilton told Sky Sports News. "But I'm so happy to have won that one.

"I may not be the best player in the world, but I'm the best fighter in the world and I think that's what I show in my darts - I'm never beaten until the last double goes in."

Hamilton will face 15-time champion Phil Taylor in the last eight, after the Power overcame Robert Thornton in straight sets.
