Stephen Bunting aims to "bully the game away" from Raymond van Barneveld

Stephen Bunting believes that making a good start will be key to him overcoming Raymond van Barneveld in the PDC World Championship quarter-finals.

Stephen Bunting has admitted that he will have to make a positive start if he is to beat Raymond van Barneveld in the quarter-finals of the PDC World Championship.

Last time out against Michael Smith, Bunting opened up a 3-0 advantage before going on to win the encounter 4-2.

Looking ahead to playing five-time world champion Van Barneveld, 29-year-old Bunting believes that he must show similar form to stand any chance of reaching the last four.

"He's a fantastic player, great scorer. I've just got to make sure that I get on top of him early and try to bully the game away. That's been the key to my success in the last few years and I'm just going to continue to do so," Bunting told Sky Sports News.

Van Barneveld secured his place in the quarter-finals thanks to a 4-3 win over Adrian Lewis.
