Mensur Suljovic keen to repeat heroics at World Grand Prix

Mensur Suljovic admits that he is targeting another extended run at the World Grand Prix after reaching the semi-finals in Dublin 12 months ago.

Mensur Suljovic has admitted that he has "special memories" of the World Grand Prix after his run to the semi-finals of the tournament last year.

Suljovic beat James Wade, Simon Whitlock and Vincent van der Voort before losing to eventual champion Robert Thornton, but after moving to the brink of the world's top 10 by winning the International Darts Open last month, the Austrian is keen for more success.

The 44-year-old told PDC.tv: "I enjoy all the big tournaments but I have special memories of Dublin as it is where I made my first big semi-final.

"It's a great tournament and I like it very much, I hope to be successful again this year. I now can believe in myself winning tournaments. I needed it to progress further in this sport."

Suljovic has been drawn to face Daryl Gurney in the opening round in Dublin.
