Gary Anderson has recorded a 3-0 win over Andy Boulton to ease into the second round at the World Championship at Alexandra Palace.
The defending world champion dropped just two legs on his way to victory over the preliminary round qualifier, who had defeated Per Laursen in a last-leg decider earlier in the night.
Peter Wright, the 2014 runner-up, is safely through to the second round after he came through what could have been a potentially tricky contest with Keegan Brown.
The fourth seed eased through the opening two sets against the former world youth champion, and although Brown improved in the third set, Wright checked out 131 to seal his passage through to the last 32.
However, 31st seed Jamie Lewis is out after losing 3-1 to Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney, who will now play Anderson in the next round.
