Third Australian Big Brother housemate revealed

'80s TV aerobics instructor Marissa Rancan is unveiled as the next housemate for the upcoming season of Big Brother in Australia.

'80s TV aerobics instructor Marissa Rancan has been named as the third housemate participating in the upcoming new season of Big Brother in Australia.

The 61-year-old will be the oldest housemate in this year's show and joins a lineup that includes former Aussie Rules player Daniel Gorringe and mining electrician Mat Garrick.

Along with her twin siblings Lisa and Adele, Rancan was part of the popular trio The Rancan Sisters, who developed a cult following for their aerobic workout routines on breakfast TV.

"Life doesn't stop at 60. I've had so many different obstacles and challenges my whole life. I've got nothing to prove," Rancan says in her Big Brother intro video.

"Underestimating me is a big mistake, I'm a dark horse. I'm going to play this game hard. I go 150% and I aim to win."

Yesterday it emerged that the new season will premiere in just four weeks' time and air three times a week on Channel 7.
