Britain's Got Talent Christmas episode 'to be filmed next month'

Britain's Got Talent's Christmas special will reportedly be filmed early next month.

Filming of the festive edition of Britain's Got Talent has reportedly been rescheduled for early December.

The show's first ever Christmas special was due to be pre-recorded last month straight after the most recent series ended but was postponed at the last moment following a coronavirus scare on set.

According to The Sun, the episode - featuring a selection of the best performers from over the years - will now be recorded on December 7, whether or not a lockdown in England is still in place.

"Britain's Got Talent is back on track and preparations for the Christmas special are well underway," a source told the newspaper.

"The wellbeing of the crew and stars is the main concern for everyone but it's great they can get the show moving again.

"Currently, filming is pencilled in for December 7 and the stars will be taking to the stage at the Hammersmith Apollo.

"The Christmas special is going to be action-packed and unlike anything anyone has ever seen before."

Ashley Banjo is expected to fill Simon Cowell's seat on the judging panel again as he continues his recovery from a broken back in the US.
