GB News has won three awards at this year's TRIC Awards, including one for Nigel Farage as 'Best News Presenter'.
The broadcaster triumphed in all three categories where it was nominated, although Farage's victory was met by a mixture of boos and applause from the industry attendees.
"It's like the crowd at a wrestling event isn't it, really?" remarked Farage as he collected the gong. "I notice much less hostility than we had last year. And just think about it - GB News Breakfast has won, the Camilla Tominey interview with Alastair Stewart has won, and I've won - for the second year in a row - news presenter of the year.
"And that says to you, GB News is now here to stay as a mainstream broadcaster in this country and thank goodness for that. Those that boo clearly don't like competition."
He added: "Sadly my TV career has been somewhat curtailed because I have another mission coming up on the fourth of July. But thank you everybody, you'll be seeing more of me!"
Earlier, GB News Breakfast won the 'Best News' category for the second year running, defeating the BBC and ITV's Good Morning Britain.
"I think I can say on behalf of all of us, we are so thrilled to have won this for the second year running," said host Stephen Dixon, who was joined onstage by Eamonn Holmes, Isabel Webster and Ellie Costello. "Thank you to everyone that watches us - those figures are growing week on week, and we're so pleased that more people are tuning in."
"Thank you very much indeed," added Holmes. "The quality of the opposition you're up against says a lot - really all class programmes, and that makes this all a little bit more special for us."
Finally, GB News presenters Camilla Tominey and Alastair Stewart won the new category of 'Interview of the Year' award as the news broadcasting legend revealed that he is suffering from dementia.
"I shouldn't be the one talking with Alastair Stewart next to me," said Tominey, who hosts a Sunday morning politics and current affairs show. "As everyone here knows, the best ones to tell are the ones involving human interest and people's very personal tales.
"We're so grateful to Al for being so honest about his dementia diagnosis. We hoped that the interview would raise awareness about a condition that affects one in two people in the UK."
