Coronation Street star Ben Price has revealed that viewers may notice a bizarre "switch" in an episode airing next month.
The soap shut down filming in March due to the coronavirus pandemic - and the episodes airing at the moment were all filmed before the shutdown.
Last week production started up again, however, and the first priority was to finish a number of episodes that were partway through being completed when filming stopped.
As a result, some characters may look slightly different from one scene to the next, particularly as the cast are responsible for their own hair and makeup for the time being.
"We were the last ones there when everyone started to go, and we were the first ones back," Price, who plays Nick Tilsley, told This Morning. "We were right in the middle of an episode when we finished three months ago and then picked up where we started three months later."
Asked if that meant that there would be a sudden change during an episode, he replied: "There will be, but I think the audience is forgiving, they understand. We have all gone through it, there may be a flash in one scene and then it will become reality."
Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV.
