David Neilson and Joe Duttine reportedly agree new deals keeping them on Coronation Street into 2024.

David Neilson and Joe Duttine have both reportedly agreed new contracts keeping them on Coronation Street into 2024.

A whole host of the soap's top stars have signed 12-month extensions in recent weeks, including Bill Roache (Ken), Sally Dynevor (Sally), Michael Le Vell (Kevin), Sue Cleaver (Eileen) and Helen Worth (Gail).

Now joining them are show legend Neilson, who has played Roy Cropper since 1995, and Duttine - aka fan favourite Tim Metcalfe, who has been on the cobbles since 2013.

"Everyone's really pleased they signed up again - the show wouldn't be the same without them," a source told The Sun.

"Fans will breathe a sign of relief they're sticking with the show."

Coronation Street continues Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1.
