Former Hollyoaks star lands Coronation Street role

Ex-Hollyoaks star Kimberly Hart-Simpson lands a mystery part on Coronation Street.

Former Hollyoaks star Kimberly Hart-Simpson has been cast in a new role on Coronation Street.

The actress, who had a small part as Beverley in the Channel 4 soap, will make her Corrie debut in an episode being screened on June 19 and according to Spotlight is playing a character called Nicky.

Announcing the news on social media, she wrote: "After nearly decade of auditioning ... believing ... It's happened. Proudest moment of my life. #corrie #dreamz #proud #lifegoals."

ITV has yet to confirm details of Hart-Simpson's role on the show, although fans have speculated online that she could be playing a new character who is a blast from Carla's past. Those rumours are not thought to be accurate.

As well as working as an actress, Hart-Simpson is also an established designer and has her own line on ASOS.
