Tameka Empson will return to EastEnders as Kim Fox in new storylines airing later this year, it has been confirmed.
The actress took a break of unspecified length from the soap in July 2019, with Kim leaving Walford to take up a job as a tour guide in Scotland.
Kim did make a brief appearance via webcam in the Christmas Day episode but will now be back on the Square full time, according to This Morning's Sharon Marshall.
"The great news is that Tameka is going to be back filming soon," she said.
"I don't think she's been on the set since last year, and I've really missed the sisterly relationship between Denise and Kim."
Empson will appear alongside her on-screen half-sister Diane Parish (Denise) in next Monday's episode of EastEnders: Secrets From The Square.
