Joe-Warren Plant will reportedly make his return to Emmerdale this month following his stint on Dancing On Ice.

Joe-Warren Plant will reportedly make his return to Emmerdale this month after being granted extended leave in order to take part in Dancing On Ice.

The 18-year-old was last seen on the soap in November, when his character Jacob Gallagher temporarily exited the village to visit his mother in Portugal.

Plant had been one of the favourites to win the ITV reality show but was forced to quit midway through the series after catching coronavirus.

According to The Sun, Plant is now raring to get back to his day job on Emmerdale and will begin filming new scenes this month.

"Joe is really looking forward to getting back to work on the soap," a source told the newspaper. "He's had an amazing time trying something new but can't wait to get back to acting.

"He was bitterly disappointed with the way his time on Dancing On Ice ended so decided to take a break from social media to clear his head.

"Joe has taken nearly a month off being online and has just really concentrated on himself.

"It's the first time he's had a chance to really process his split from girlfriend Nicole, which happened while he was on the show. But he's back now and feeling and looking great with his new [blond hairstyle]."

Emmerdale continues weeknights on ITV.
