This summer's Under-21s European Championships is reportedly still without a UK broadcaster attached.

UEFA has yet to agree a deal with a UK broadcaster to show this year's Under-21s European Championships with just three months to go, according to a report.

The 16-team tournament takes place in Georgia and Romania between June 21 and July 8, with Lee Carsley's Young Lions side entering as one of the favourites.

Sky Sports has been the home of the U21 Euros since 2007 but has not yet put in a bid for this year's event amid cost-cutting measures, while the BBC did show England's qualifying games, albeit on the iPlayer.

According to the Daily Mail, none of the terrestrial broadcasters - including Channel 4, home to England's senior games - has registered interest as they supposedly believe the competition is of little interest to a wide audience.

The newspaper suggests that the tournament may not be broadcast in the UK at all, although such a scenario is unlikely, with the possibility that any of the sports broadcasters - including Sky, BT Sport, Viaplay and DAZN - would succeed with a last-minute offer below UEFA's initial expectations.
