Eurovision winner Duncan Laurence passes 100 million streams on Spotify

Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Laurence passes 100 million streams on Spotify with his song 'Arcade'.

Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Laurence has passed the 100 million mark for streams of 'Arcade' on Spotify.

The 26-year-old triumphed with the track at last year's contest in Tel Aviv and is now set to become the longest-reigning winner after this year's edition - due to be held in Rotterdam - was called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a little over 12 months, 'Arcade' has passed 100 million Spotify streams, putting him third in the all-time list of Eurovision winners, behind Loreen's 'Euphoria' (125.8 million) and Mans Zelmerlow's 'Heroes' (115.6 million).

All three are dwarfed by Italy's 2019 entrant Mahmood, however, whose song 'Soldi' finished second in the contest but has racked up an astonishing 151.3 million streams to date.

Last week Laurence revealed that his long-awaited EP is close to being finished and will be released soon.
