A Hollyoaks star says that she cried for three days after learning that she would be axed from the show.

Tamara Wall has revealed that she cried for three days after learning that her character Grace Black would be written out of Hollyoaks.

After almost 10 years in the village, Grace bowed out in Wednesday's episode as she was sent to a prison in Glasgow after taking full responsibility for the bungled heist.

Wall has now confirmed that the decision to leave the soap was not hers, telling OK! magazine: "It's absolutely devastating. When I got told, I bawled my eyes out for three days, I was so upset – it's been the best time of my life."

"It wasn't my decision, but I understand," she continued.

"It's the name of the game, and Grace was going to get her comeuppance at some point. In the end, she probably deserved it.

"But I'm sure she'll find her way out eventually... she'll be back."

Hollyoaks continues weekdays on Channel 4 and E4, with first-look episodes dropping on streaming from midnight.
