I'm A Celebrity to bring back former contestants in new series?

Former contestants could reportedly make cameo appearances on the new series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Former contestants on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! could reportedly take part in the new series in a cameo capacity.

The coronavirus pandemic has led to the show being relocated from the Aussie jungle to a Welsh castle for this year, and producers are in the process of signing up stars to take part.

According to The Sun, the show being based in the UK has opened up the possibility of former contestants making guest appearances during trials during the milestone 20th series.

The newspaper says that Tony Blackburn - winner of the first series in 2002 - is being lined up, with other potential returnees including Scarlett Moffatt, Stacey Solomon, Gillian McKeith, Dean Gaffney and Phil Tufnell.

"The trials team are getting creative," said a source. "They're using the fact they're in the UK to their advantage and plan to draft in familiar faces to pop up in trials.

"There's set to be a few video link surprises as well."

The new series begins on ITV in mid-November.
