Line of Duty actor Gregory Piper is reportedly wanted for this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The 23-year-old plays shady cop Ryan Pilkington in the BBC drama, having first appeared in the show's first series as a child actor nine years ago.
The current series of Line of Duty is by far the most-watched programme in the UK at the moment and according to The Sun, producers on Strictly want to capitalise on the show's popularity by signing up Piper.
"Gregory is a household name because of his turn as evil Ryan," a source told the newspaper.
"The pinnacle for Strictly bookers is someone well known but also someone who is on the BBC, and Gregory ticks both of those boxes.
"He's still relatively new to the industry, despite being part of the series for a decade, so it might be that he sees a jump into reality telly a bit soon.
"But producers are certainly keen and his name has been bandied around a lot as a dream signing."
The new series of Strictly is due to begin on BBC One at the end of September.
