Tom Holland reveals fourth Spider-Man film on hold
Tom Holland says that discussions about a new Spider-Man film are "on pause" due to the writers' strike.

Tom Holland has revealed that talks about the next Spider-Man movie have been put "on pause" for the time being.

The most recent film - Spider-Man: No Way Home - was the most lucrative in Spidey history, pulling in almost $2 billion at the box office to rank as the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.

Holland is expected to reprise the role for what could be a second trilogy, but plans to move the franchise forward are currently on hold due to the writers' strike in the US.

Talking to Variety about a fourth film, he said: "I can't talk about that, but I can say that we have been having meetings.

"We've put the meetings on pause in solidarity with the writers.

"There's been multiple conversations had, but at this point it's very, very early stages."

Holland will next be seen in the Apple TV+ psychological thriller The Crowded Room, which premieres this Friday.
