Dune knocks No Time To Die off top of UK Box Office
Dune opens at the top of the UK Box Office to relegate new James Bond movie No Time To Die into second place.

Sci-fi epic Dune made a strong start at the UK Box Office over the weekend, opening in top spot.

The movie, starring Timothee Chalamet, delivered a strong £5.8m across Thursday to Sunday, enough to knock No Time To Die into second place.

The James Bond flick - Daniel Craig's final outing as 007 - added another £4.6m in its fourth weekend to take its UK gross to date to £78m.

Tom Hardy sequel Venom: Let There Be Carnage was in third with receipts of £2.4m for a gross of £11.1m, while The Boss Baby: Family Business took £1.1m to open in fourth.

Elsewhere, romantic comedy The French Dispatch - also starring Chalamet - garnered £870,000 to open in sixth and Dear Evan Hansen debuted at nine after opening-weekend receipts of £236,000.
