Neighbours character brutally killed off in fireball

Neighbours: End Game claims its first victim as the special 35th anniversary week of episodes continues.

Neighbours: End Game claimed its first victim yesterday as Denise van Outen's character Prue Wallace was killed off in a car explosion.

The Aussie soap is airing a week of special late night episodes to coincide with its 35th anniversary, with the promise of at least one character meeting their maker.

In scenes broadcast in yesterday's episode, a tearful Prue was seen leaving a voicemail for Gary as she frantically drove to find him after he called off their wedding.

She then left another voicemail for Harlow forgiving her for ruining her wedding, before pulling over and declaring she needed a glass of champagne.

Prue then opened her honeymoon gift box expecting champagne only to be greeted by a bomb, which sent the car up in flames.

Elsewhere, the fate of Toadie (Ryan Moloney) remains up in the air after he was bashed in the head with a rock by Finn before being left to drown.
