The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik is to play the lead character in an upcoming American remake of Miranda.
The sitcom - with Miranda Hart in the titular role - ran for three series and two special episodes on the BBC between 2009 and 2015, peaking with more than 11.5 million viewers.
For the US, the show has been reworked as Call Me Kat and stars Bialik as Kat, a 39-year-old woman who decides to invest her savings into opening a cat cafe in Kentucky.
The series also stars Swoosie Kurtz, Cheyenne Jackson and Will & Grace's Leslie Jordan, while Hart, Bialik and The Big Bang Theory co-star Jim Parsons are to serve as executive producers.
Call Me Kat has been lined up by FOX as a mid-season replacement in the upcoming 2020-21 season.
