Bugzy Malone: "I'm lucky to be alive"

Manchester rapper Bugzy Malone posts a first health update from hospital after a serious bike crash last week.

Manchester rapper Bugzy Malone has admitted that he is "lucky to be alive" after his serious quad bike crash last week.

Shocking footage posted to social media on Wednesday night showed the build-up and aftermath of the incident, which saw the 29-year-old come off his bike at high speed on a road near Bury.

Bugzy was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment of "serious injuries" and now the musician has posted his first update from his hospital bed.

"They tell me I'm lucky to be alive but although I sustained serious injuries at the time I lost consciousness so I don't remember much," he wrote.

"What I do remember is the non-stop love, and just want to say thanks for all the well wishes and prayers you lot caught me off guard with all the support!

"Lockdown ain't easy because boredom causes the craziest problems, but be safe regardless..."

The person who posted footage of a distressed Malone to social media, in a post entitled "Bugzy malone wrapped up big time in Bury", has received an online backlash for distributing the images.
