Ex On The Beach relocates from Mexico to London due to coronavirus

The new series of Ex On The Beach is reportedly being filmed in London instead of Mexico due to the coronavirus pandemic.

MTV's Ex On The Beach is reportedly undergoing major changes for its next series due to the coronavirus crisis.

The dating show normally takes place in a luxury villa in Mexico and is renowned for tonsil tennis and sexual shenanigans among its contestants.

Coronavirus rules out both travel to South America and potential intimacy for the foreseeable future, so according to The Sun, producers have decided to film the cast going on "dates" in London instead.

A show source told the newspaper: "MTV had to work out what a socially distanced EOTB would look like, so it's now a 'table of terror' style dating show - where the cast go on dates but their ex can show up at any time and interrupt the date.

"It's filming in London and any kind of fluid swapping will be discouraged for distancing reasons. It's going to be different but still as dramatic as the previous series."

The new series is expected to air on MTV later this year.
