Joe Wicks's daily PE lessons to air live on Channel 4?

Channel 4 are reportedly in talks with fitness guru Joe Wicks about airing his daily YouTube PE lessons live on TV.

Joe Wicks is reportedly in talks with Channel 4 over broadcasting his daily YouTube PE lessons live to the nation.

After schools across the UK were shut down to most pupils at the end of last week due to the coronavirus outbreak, fitness guru Wicks outlined his intention to lead a PE lesson every morning at 9am live on his YouTube channel.

The first lesson was a roaring success, with more than 1 million households streaming it live on Monday morning, and according to The Sun, C4 were quick to get in touch to discuss the possibility of transferring the format to TV.

A source told the newspaper: "Channel 4 have worked with Joe previously and were straight onto him once they saw he was going to be hosting live workouts daily.

"His YouTube streams have been watched in their droves, so they have offered him a deal to host a daily show for them which would be aired to the nation to get kids, and adults, moving every morning.

"Nothing is signed yet but they are all hopeful something will work out."

In response to the UK's shutdown due to the spread of the disease, Channel 4 have also launched a daily cookery show which sees Jamie Oliver share tips for making meals using store cupboard essentials and freezer supplies.
