Netflix could reportedly give the go-ahead to a new documentary about Sir Elton John's life in the 1970s.
The one-off piece, The Pillars Of Hercules, is being put together by the legendary musician's long-time guitarist Davey Johnstone and is said to have the blessing of Elton and his partner David Furnish.
According to The Sun, Johnstone is hoping to get Netflix's backing to release the documentary, which is also said to have exclusive, never-before-seen footage of Elton interacting with Beatles legend John Lennon.
The news of the documentary follows the success of big-screen Elton biopic Rocketman, which earned almost £150 million at the worldwide box office and won an Oscar for its soundtrack.
Netflix has recently given the go-ahead to a documentary series featuring David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, while Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have signed a big-money deal to produce and appear in programmes for the service.
