Ryan Murphy "very, very excited" to produce Monica Lewinsky series

American Crime Story creator Ryan Murphy hints at new revelations in the upcoming season centred around Monica Lewinsky.

Ryan Murphy has suggested that new revelations will emerge in the next season of American Crime Story.

The show has previously adapted the stories of OJ Simpson and Gianni Versace and for its next instalment will tackle the tale of Lewinsky, who had an affair with President Bill Clinton in the 1990s.

"I'm very, very excited to have Monica Lewinsky's version of what happened be put out there in the world, and I think that she's earned the right to be able to tell her story, how she wants to tell it," Murphy told Collider.

"And I think her version of what happened and the facts will be very startling to people, and I think it's important."

Lewinsky - now 46 - has gone on to become a successful activist around the issue of public shaming and is notoriously adamant in her refusal to criticise Clinton.
