The Chase introduces Darragh Ennis as new Chaser

Darragh Ennis makes his long-awaited debut on The Chase and is given the nickname 'The Menace'.

The newest addition to The Chase, Darragh Ennis, has made his debut on the ITV quizshow.

The 47-year-old Irishman is a former contestant on the show and has been given the nickname 'The Menace' in his new role as a Chaser.

"I'm so pleased to be the sixth Chaser," said Ennis. "It's brilliant to be on such an amazing quiz team, and so much fun working with Bradley Walsh.

"It's such an exciting opportunity and I can't wait to take on more contestants!"

Walsh added: "Another Chaser? ANOTHER CHASER? That's another person cleverer than me on The Chase.

"I must have words with the producers. But I can't wait to educate Darragh on the important things in life; custard creams, cowboy films and real ale."

The Chase continues weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
