Upcoming spinoff series The Walking Dead: World Beyond has been delayed from next month until later in the year due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The new show is set 10 years after the outbreak of the zombie apocalypse and focuses on the first generation of survivors to be raised in its aftermath.
A message on the show's Twitter account said: "The Walking Dead: World Beyond is moving its premiere date from Sunday April 12th to later this year."
Filming on the spinoff concluded in November last year and it remains unclear whether the delay is due to post-production problems or for sensitivity concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.
The upcoming 11th season of the original Walking Dead series has already been postponed due to the disease, while the sixth season of spinoff Fear The Walking Dead is scheduled to air later this year.
