Watch: Ryan Seacrest denies having a stroke on live TV

Ryan Seacrest denies suggestions that he suffered a stroke while presenting the season finale of American Idol on Sunday night.

American Idol host Ryan Seacrest has denied that he had a stroke while presenting the show's live finale on Sunday night.

At one point during the broadcast from his home in Los Angeles, the 45-year-old appeared to slur his words while his left eye was significantly more pronounced than his right.

Concerned viewers took to Twitter in their droves to question if Seacrest was okay, with one capturing the alarming moment on camera:

Seacrest went on to be absent from Monday's edition of Live with Kelly and Ryan, but speaking to People, the host's spokesman denied any health issues.

"Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night," the rep said. "Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home.

"Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three to four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he's in need of rest. So today he took a well-deserved day off."

Seacrest has hosted all but one of American Idol's 609 episodes since it started in 2002.
