Katie Price has revealed that her son Harvey Price has been given his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.
The 18-year-old is severely overweight due to Prader-Willi Syndrome, putting him at enhanced risk of fatality from COVID-19, and spent several days in intensive care last summer with breathing problems.
The UK is now vaccinating the population at a blistering rate, with almost 11.5 million people now having received a first dose - and according to The Sun, Harvey is now among that number.
"It's felt strange being in a school hall with everybody sitting on chairs in rows a metre apart," Katie told the newspaper. "Then a doctor speaks to tell you about the Oxford vaccine.
"Harvey was the youngest we saw there - it was all smoothly calmly and professionally done.
"Harvey was so brave and it was over so quick, everybody was so helpful.
"It just felt like being in a film and made you realise more how serious this is."
The government is currently offering the vaccine to those aged 70 and over, as well as adults with underlying health conditions, and is aiming to give everyone aged 50 and over a first dose of the vaccine by the end of April.
