The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expecting a second child, a spokesperson for the couple has confirmed.
The news comes almost a year after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in order to pursue "financial independence" in California, where they have since struck lucrative deals with Spotify and Netflix.
A spokesperson said: "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are overjoyed to be expecting their second child."
Following the announcement, photographer friend Misan Harriman posted a black and white picture showing the couple sitting under a tree, with Harry cradling Meghan as she touched her growing baby bump.
Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honoured to capture it grow. Congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex on this joyous news!#remoteshoot #shotonipad #shotbymisan pic.twitter.com/3iSYjydVj9

The couple have not yet revealed when their new arrival is due.
In November, Markle shared the tragic news that she had suffered a miscarriage last summer.
