Catherine Tate wanted for 'Strictly'?

Strictly Come Dancing producers are reportedly planning a "big money" move for comedian Catherine Tate for this year's show.

Catherine Tate is reportedly one of the top targets for this year's series of Strictly Come Dancing.

The 51-year-old comedian is currently living in the US and has been working on her film Nan The Movie, featuring the foul-mouthed OAP from her long-running sketch show.

According to The Mirror, Strictly producers are keen to have another comedian in this year's lineup following Chris Ramsey's popularity last year and have made an approach for Tate.

A source told the newspaper: "The channel is willing to pay big money as she is already a household name and will be a hit with viewers."

Our Girl star Michelle Keegan is said to be the top target for producers, although recent reports have suggested that this year's show could be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
