Ex-Strictly pro shades 'arm-flailing' Bruno Tonioli

Former Strictly Come Dancing dancer Ian Waite suggests that Bruno Tonioli would not be missed if he is unable to take part in this year's series.

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Ian Waite has suggested that he will not miss Bruno Tonioli if the veteran judge is unable to take part in this year's series.

Due to travel restrictions imposed by coronavirus, there is serious doubt whether Tonioli will be able to take up his usual spot on the Strictly judging panel as he is unable to fly in from the US, where he records Dancing With The Stars, on a weekly basis.

Waite, who appeared on seven series of the show, hinted that Tonioli's absence would be no great loss, telling FUBAR Radio: "Do you want the honest truth? I love Bruno for the entertainment value, but nothing else.

"He doesn't really say anything technical. He's not really the technician of the panel. It's like, how many arms can I flail around and how expressive can I be?"

The new series of Strictly is due to begin on BBC One in October.
