Tom Dean has become the first celebrity to be voted off this year's Strictly Come Dancing in a shock result.
The Olympic swimming champion and his pro partner Nadiya Bychkova were in a decent position after the first two live shows, having amassed a combined judges' score of 43 to place them in the middle of the pack.
Once the viewer votes were factored in, however, they found themselves in the dance-off against bottom-placed Toyah Willcox and her partner Neil Jones. In the subsequent judges' vote, the panel were three to one in favour of keeping Toyah, with only Anton Du Beke opting to keep Tom.
"I've had the best time the last few weeks and getting to work with Nadiya has been incredible," Tom said after the verdict. "I wish I could have gone further and done more dances.
"I've had the most fun and I wish we could keep going longer and longer. We'll still go out for loads of brunches I'm sure."
Nadiya said: "He's not just a three-time Olympic champion, he's a true gentleman. He taught me to work really hard and taught me to put everything into everything. Sometimes on this programme you don't have to win to win, and I won by getting him as a partner."
Strictly continues with Movie Week next Saturday at 6.25pm on BBC One.
