The Celebrity Circle launch date confirmed

Channel 4 announces that The Celebrity Circle will begin on Tuesday, March 9.

The celebrity edition of The Circle will air on Channel 4 from Tuesday, March 9, it has been confirmed.

The special spinoff in aid of Stand Up To Cancer will feature a host of famous faces entering the show's usual apartment block and communicating with each other through an online-only messaging service.

Only three celebrities - Denise van Outen, Duncan James and Saffron Barker - will be playing the game as themselves, while the others will all pretend to be other celebrities in an attempt to catfish their fellow contestants.

Reality stars Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks will team up to be Countdown's Rachel Riley, drag queen Baga Chipz will masquerade as Kim Woodburn, DJs Rickie Haywood-Williams and Melvin Odoom will pretend to be will.i.am and Lady Leshurr will play the game as Big Narstie.

Loose Women stars Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha will adopt the persona of TOWIE diva Gemma Collins, while Geordie Shore's Charlotte Crosby will enter the game at some point during the series claiming to be Peter Andre.

The celebrity series will air on Channel 4 over six nights and lead in directly to the third regular series of The Circle.
