This Country stars Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper reportedly drop out of the celebrity version of The Traitors.

Acting siblings Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper have reportedly dropped out of the lineup for the upcoming celebrity edition of The Traitors.

Although the lineup has yet to be confirmed by the BBC, a number of top names are thought to have signed for the show - including Sir Stephen Fry, Tom Daley, Clare Balding, Robert Peston and Alan Carr.

The Coopers - known for creating and starring in comedy This Country - were also said to be on board, but according to The Sun, the show's strict 'off grid' nature has led to them pulling out.

"Daisy May and Charlie were so excited about taking part but once the demands of the show became clear Daisy had to sadly accept it would be tough as a mum-of-three," a source told the newspaper.

"The Traitors cast has to be completely off grid and can't be on FaceTime every night, or nipping to see their children on a day off filming. Everyone tried to make it work but Daisy obviously has to put her family first."

They added: "The BBC will hope to sign another duo as it adds so brilliantly to the psychology of the game but time is ticking and finding two celebrities with time in their diaries - or the willingness to cancel other plans - could be tough."

The celebrity version is due to be filmed in Scotland in April for broadcast on BBC One later in the year.
