Channel 4 has announced details of a new 30-minute comedy pilot airing on its Black To Front day this autumn.
On September 10, the entire Channel 4 schedule will be handed over to programming featuring black talent on screen and behind the cameras.
As part of the evening lineup, C4 will air a "vivacious" comedy called Big Age written by Bolu Babalola, known for her bestselling book Love In Colour.
The show centres on four black British friends who are reaching the "big age" era of their lives - "growing up, stretching up and stepping up".
"It is quite literally a dream come true to have the opportunity to bring Big Age to life with Channel 4," said Babalola.
"It's been a great joy to develop these characters and this world over the years, and I am so thrilled that a place that has housed so many of my favourite shows has chosen to help me share it."
Other confirmed programming for Black To Front includes a one-off revival of The Big Breakfast with Mo Gilligan and AJ Odudu, a special edition of Countdown hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald and a one-hour Hollyoaks featuring black members of the cast.
The schedule will also include special episodes of Channel 4 News and Celebrity Gogglebox, a non-scripted series in the 10pm slot and a new discussion programme in the vein of the iconic After Dark for 11pm.
