Netflix has shared a picture of Imelda Staunton as The Queen as filming gets underway on the fifth season of The Crown.
The veteran actress is replacing Olivia Colman in the role for the final two seasons of the epic drama, which will chart the ageing monarch's reign through the 1990s and into the early 21st century.
The final cast change also sees Jonathan Pryce take over as the late Prince Philip, Dominic West playing Prince Charles and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana.
Posting a picture of Staunton in full costume on Twitter, the show's official account announced: "An early glimpse of our new Queen Elizabeth II, Imelda Staunton."
Filming of season five has just begun in the UK ahead of the show's expected release at the end of 2022, while the sixth and final season will be shot next year and released in 2023.
