Sky is reportedly in pole position to land the UK rights to the highly-anticipated Friends reunion special.
The one-off episode will see the core six cast members - David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow - reunite on the set of the show 17 years after it came to an end.
Called 'The One Where They Get Back Together', the episode will be released on US streaming service HBO Max on Thursday, May 27 - but as of yet a UK broadcaster has not been announced.
According to Deadline, Sky is the "most likely" destination for the special, although the website adds that a deal is not yet done and another broadcaster could come along with "a knockout offer".
Sky has a long-standing deal with WarnerMedia giving it exclusive rights to HBO content in the UK, although the arrangement is not thought to cover programming which has been commissioned specifically for HBO Max.
Should Sky secure the rights to the episode, it is expected to air in the UK on Friday, May 28 - most likely on the Sky Comedy channel or Sky One.
