BTS on course for first UK number one single

K-pop band BTS are on track to register their first ever UK number one single with new release 'Dynamite', according to midweek sales data.

K-pop sensations BTS look to be heading straight to the top of the UK singles chart with their latest release 'Dynamite'.

The seven-piece dropped the track on Friday, with the accompanying video breaking YouTube viewing records within hours of its release.

According to data from the Official Charts Company, 'Dynamite' managed 1.7 million streams in the UK in its first 48 hours, putting it 1,700 chart sales ahead of Joel Corry and MNEK's summer hit 'Head & Heart' in the midweeks.

BTS have yet to register a top 10 single in the UK, although their last two albums have both hit the summit of the UK albums chart.

Headie One's collaboration with AJ Tracey and Stormzy, 'Ain't It Different', is also on course to make the top 10 and is currently tracking at four.
